WHAT TO EXPECT IN YOUR TELEHEALTH APPOINTMENT
A patient with a telehealth appointment will receive a call from the 亚博电竞官网官网中心 Clinic telehealth provider’s nurse (the triage nurse) approximately 15 minutes prior to the scheduled time of the telehealth appointment. During this call, the triage nurse will review and discuss the patient’s past medical history and current symptoms and make an initial determination if the patient’s condition is suitable for a telehealth provider encounter. If the triage nurse feels the patient should be evaluated in a clinic setting, the patient will be given an expedited appointment slot at the nearest available 亚博电竞官网官网中心 Clinic that is appropriate for evaluating the patient’s condition. A general description of conditions that are not suitable for a telehealth encounter are described below in this overview.
If the triage nurse determines the patient’s condition is suitable for a telehealth provider encounter, the telehealth encounter will proceed as scheduled. The telehealth provider will consult with the patient through an audio and video encounter. The encounter will be similar to an in-clinic encounter in many ways. The telehealth provider will ask you questions and evaluate your condition and may prescribe necessary treatment. As with an in-clinic encounter, it is important that the patient provide complete information and answer all questions truthfully and completely. If the telehealth provider determines the patient should be evaluated in the clinic setting, the patient will be given an expedited appointment slot at the nearest available 亚博电竞官网官网中心 Clinic that is appropriate for evaluating the patient’s condition. An in-person clinic visit may be necessary because of the nature of the patient’s condition or because of the limitations of telehealth described below in this overview.
